just joined and hopeful for results

Hello,

This is my first day on My Fitness Pal. I am just trying to get used to using the system with all the various icons and so forth. I am hoping to lose nearly two stones and have been trying to do so for 4/5 years without success! I used the Boots Weight Loss Programme ( without success ) over much of this period. I liked using the on-line food and exercise diary and often kept to my calorie daily goals but the final weight target just never happened ! Not blaming the Programme as it was obviously my lack of a sustained motivation to succeed. My daughter encouraged me to use My Fitness Pal so here goes !!

I like to do the occasional fast, so as a cleanser and determined start I have water fasted today and included two yoga sessions and a 30 minute moderate session on the exercise bike. I have friends on the 5/2 programme where you consume 600 calories for two days and eat what you want for the other days, but I don't like the idea of eating anything and two pounds loss a week looks good to me on the Fitness Pal Programme,
