Try to figure out what triggered it and avoid that trigger in the future.
And don't beat yourself up over it too much.
I have a friend that I text when I feel like eating things I know would be way over and he reminds me why I am watching my calories, doesn't work for everyone, but having someone I can talk to definitely helps me to not do it to begin with. (And to feel better if I slip)0 -
First, DON'T BE HARSH WITH YOURSELF.
Next, drink A LOT OF WATER.
Then, continue with your program as usual...0 -
reduce 100 calories every day for the week. That why, you don't really have to change your normal program that much and after a week that's 700 calories surplus for the binge eating.
Also, what was the binge eating, birthday party or something of that ilk?
There are ways to help plan for eating a lot of food such as:
Fasting for most of the day (saving all your calories for one meal)
When eating, go for meat and vegetables first. Eat lots of this. This will satiate yourself more and essentially leave less room for the desserts.0 -
Self care, babes.
Talk to someone if you can- I talked to my boyfriend on the phone for about half an hour after a binge once, sitting outside on the grass and getting bitten by mosquitoes, but it helped me stop crying and I was able to go to bed and start the next day on a brighter note.
Have a bath or paint your nails.
I usually just go to bed, really.
Tell yourself that binging isn't necessarily a bad thing- maybe you needed the food or nutrients!
One binge doesn't mean you will continue binging.
You aren't a bad person for binging.
You'll be okay
Binge eating is a real thing, and if you're finding it to be a big problem in your life then don't be afraid to see a doctor about it or any other problems you might have!
You can friend and talk to me if you need to Good luck0
