I need help. I have watched my food, maintaining a less than 1200 net calorie diet (with the exception of Saturday and still only went to about 1500),I have exercised every day (except Saturday) this week and I didn't lose 1 lb. I am at the same weight today as i was last Monday and it is frustrating and dis-heartening and I need some encouragement and more experienced feedback; I don't understand this at all.

you shouldn't be at less than 1200 net calories -1200 is the absolute minimum you should be aiming for.
i wouldn't fret too much over no loss for 1 week - your weight fluctuates every day. as long as you see an overall downward trend, you're on the right track!0 -
Thanks for the reply. I know less than 1200 Calories net is not good…but I don't know what to do; I have a difficult time balancing calories/carbs/fats. There are many times I am low on my calorie count but my sodium or fat is too high (I have to watch my carbs more) so i don't know how I can add more calories without adding on to what I am already high on. I cannot take higher carbs because I have insulin resistance. Often my fat count is a little over but it is healthy fats like Salmon or Olive oIl or something like that so I don't worry too much about it. My carbs are often well below my daily recommended but, because of the insulin resistance issue, I try to keep those low.

Proteins and fats should be considered a minimum amount to reach...red isn't always bad. There's no need to watch sodium unless you have a medical reason. I track mine simply for curiosity. If my scale jumps way up one day, it's nice to easily look back at the sodium to see if that's the reason why.0

This time around on my weight loss journey, it is very common for me to lose 0 pounds one week and 2 lbs the next. Weight loss isn't linear. Don't let it mess with your head. If you don't lose weight for 3 or 4 weeks, then maybe look at things you can tweak. Until then, just keep doing your thang. It'll work out.0

Also, check what your calorie intake should be for your height and weight. You may need to eat more.0

I know the cardinal sin is to weigh yourself everyday but that is what I have done for the last couple of months. Since January 1st, I have weighed and tracked myself everyday when I first get out of bed. There are some days when I gain 2 lbs which is very frustrating but when I look back 1 week I am always less then the week before. This also motivates me on the days I gain, to work extra harder in the gym and watch more closely what I eat for the day. I have lost an average of 2 lbs a week and today I am only 2 lbs from my goal weight. I know tomorrow morning I will have gained a little but I know by Saturday I will have reached my goal weight. I have even convinced myself that the days I gain weight, it is a good thing because I know for the next couple days after that I am going to lose big. I have also found that high intensity interval training is the way to go. The lbs have come off fast after I received this advice from someone on MFP. Good luck to you and dont get frustrated. Keep working hard and if you stay at it when the lbs start coming off they will come off fast. If you dont have the stomach (no pun intended) to weigh yourself every day, then dont do it. Just keep moving and eating right and good things will happen. If you do weigh yourself everyday then use the bad weigh ins as motivation.0
