Would you think a legs/glute day 3 times a week is too much?

An intense routine

  • While I don't think working your legs 3x per week is a bad idea, if you're planning on completely exhausting your legs with a bunch of different isolation and compound exercises and reps, I would stick to 1-2 times per week just to give them a chance to recover.

    Good answer.
Just to add, 3 times a week is high frequency. In order to train frequently there has to be a trade off between volume and intensity, Since you OP says "intense routine", then your volume is going to have to be limited To me intensity is training to failure, if that is the case I would limit the sets to no more than 3-5 per day. 5 would be realllly pushing it though IMO.
  • Thanks guys! :)
