Ditto for me!! I have to keep busy during my bad times 4-8PM. I've tried it all…….it's just mind over matter. It is hard, but so worth the end result! Good luck! You can add me, and maybe we can keep each other honest!!0

Really, in my experience, you have to find ways to motivate yourself - you have to really want it and commit to getting what you want. Do you have a dress picked out or are you a bridesmaid? Maybe keep a picture of the dress you want/need to fit into posted on your fridge, on the bathroom mirror - anywhere where there is food or weight measurement involved. Also, remember that if you work out, you have more of an option with the food you choose. Both exercise and food intake are factors in getting healthier. (As a side note, one of the major factors for me finally deciding to get into better shape was because my younger brother announced he was getting married. Since that time, I lost 60+ lbs on Weight Watchers, plus another 10 here).0

Try pre-logging your day so you know what you're having, and when. If something comes up and you have to change something, at least you know what you have to work with. It's all in your head, so you have to change your thinking. If you're not honestly hungry, don't go in the kitchen. Good luck, OP!0

Most people don't start out with willpower. It's something you develop as you become more and more focused on your goals. Surround yourself with people who support you -- like those commenting on your thread! -- and don't be afraid to turn to them for guidance, accountability, and strength. Believe you can! We all do. )0

You do have willpower, you just have to find the changes you are willing to make and set goals and take the first step! you can do it! we are all on this journey together. i just joined today at the suggestion of my personal trainer. get support, start working out, start a food journal, make substitutions that will reduce you calorie intake, and be patient with yourself! its a long road but our health is worth it.0

You just have to man up and be a soldier about it. If this was easy, especially in the beginning, then everyone would be doing it. You will develop more willpower with practice, consistency and simply wanting it badly enough.0

Then grow some balls and stop making excuses. Saying you have no willpower is a lie. We all have our greed, motivation, determination, perserverence triggers.0

If you have no will power then you won't ever get anything done. Get some will power and do it. I'm 266 pounds and go to the gym 5 days a week and diet as much as possible, if I can do it, and so many other people on here that weigh twice as much as I do or twice as little, so can you. No excuses.0

First, rewrite your opening post and make it a positive one instead of a negative one ...... you'll immediately feel better about this !
Next, how much weight would you REASONABLY like to lose in the next few months ??
No matter, it all starts with the first steps, and you are here, which is definitely a first step. I don't know what got you to this point, but usually if we cut down our portions and steer clear of crappy food, we lose weight. Then we start moving our bodies a little more each day to firm up. Nothing extreme, nothing crazy ...... just common sense stuff. Clean out your kitchen, make the best choices possible at each meal, drink some water to get your system moving ..... AND MAKE YOU A PRIORITY !
Best of luck to you :drinker:0 -
we're the same age. If I can do it you can do it!0
