Chipotle on a diet?

This is what I get on my Burrito Bowl at Chipotle:
-Steak
-Guacamole
-Lettuce
-Brown Rice

Is that okay for a diet? It's somewhere above 600 calories (didn't check the other stuff).

Nothing wrong with that. I'm planning on a BB with chicken, steak, fajita veggies, black beans and rice for Wednesday. As long as it fits your calorie goal and macros any food is good to go.

What's a diet? Do you mean YOUR diet? Because yes. It's good for your diet.

Does it fit your macros? Then go for it, because there's a helluva lot of good stuff in there. Chipotle for the win. Every time. Eat all the Chipotle.

when you log your food it will show you how many carbs, fat and protein are in that food (these are macronutrients, or macros). Go through the guided mode to set that up and it will show you approximately how much of each to shoot for every day. But don't worry, this isn't an exact science, so going over or under isn't a big deal, they're just guideposts.

I love Chipotle. I had to stop getting the burrito, because I just wasn't able to stay within my carb target with that one. Maybe in a couple months, I'll try again...because I really like their tortillas. But normally, now I get the Bow. I get brown rice, black beans, chicken, fajita veggies, salsa, pico do gallo, sour cream, and sometimes some cheese. I think it's around 600 or 700 calories. And lots of protein. And lots of fiber. Good stuff. Yum.

Chipotle has a great nutrition calculator on its website. www.chipotle.com And I use that to calculate what I eat.
I order the Salad... Vegetarian. Romaine lettuce, brown rice, black beans, fajita veggies, tomato salsa, corn salsa, guacamole. It is enough for 2 meals. I love that dish. I was getting the Salad - Chicken, but found out it was thigh meat and decided not to order that anymore. I have never tried the burrito bowl. I think I calculated the salad at about 620 calories. It is delicious, reasonable, and I love it. You might have to copy/paste this into your address bar:

I really miss Chipotle, tasty...and I even learned how to eat it without the sour cream... just doubled up on the salsa... and lots of black beans. Yummy! I liked to get the whole bowl and split it for lunch and dinner, then i didn't feel any guilt over the calories :))

One of my go-to take out meals when I don't have a lot of calorie room is a burrito bowl: no rice, black beans, fajita veggies, steak, green salsa, and lettuce. Only 350 calories. If I want additional carbs or fat (or both!) I add brown rice or guacamole. Each adds about 150 cals (the rice adds 160, technically).

I haven't eaten there in ages. Way too much salt in their food. I couldn't taste the food, just the salt so it wasn't worth going anymore.
  • Did you guys know you can get the burrito wrapped with a quesadilla instead of a tortilla?

    Yup, looks good op.

Well, and I know this isn't bad, but we've moved to Hawaii, and it is not available here. Probably a good thing for my hips... LOL
