I hate not getting a good lift because my grib gives out, But I want a good grip too. So, I do my lifts until my grib fails, then use straps to do the rest. Except for shrugs, then I just strap up and lift heavy.0

I've used both straps and hooks (started with hooks). I Bought the straps ebcause the metal started to wear thru the nylon so I wanted to try the straps. The hooks were ok for hooking onto the bars quickly however I've found I would get a tighter grip and wrist tightness with the straps. The hooks I felt I always had to position in the right spot on my hands all the time. So I would prefer the straps over hooks, once you wear in the straps and get used to tightening them they are very beneficial. I use them for any lifting/pulling motion I do if the weight is heavy enough.0

100% recommend straps. when working back the weakest link will always be forearms/grip.0
