Side effects from the flu, a week later?

Just looking for others opinions....
Last weekend I came down with the stomach flu, lasted about 24 hours. So I decided to give my body the rest that it needed and took a couple of extra days off from exercising etc. I continued to eat nutritiously. Now, I am beginning to get back to my normal routine and took up my exercise regime again yesterday. However, what I have noticed is, that I am having trouble finding my appetite. I normally log all of my foods before I eat them, so I am normally all planned out for the day leaving no guess work. The problem with this though is, I serve myself my food with full intentions of eating it, but when I reach about halfway through my meal I find myself suddenly turned off of what I am eating and somewhat full. I am fully satisfied without over stuffing myself. So I stop eating.
This leaves me aware that I am not fully consuming my calories, (supposed to be between 1200-1460/day). So half the time I have to go back and fix my food diary to show the loss of calories that I didn't eat. The only other concern of mine is that, by the time 4pm comes around I am completely exhausted and just want to go to bed. Could my lack of calories be affecting my energy levels or would this still be related to being sick....I am confused....I know I should be consuming more to be able to have full energy for my workouts (month 2 of insanity) but I am having a hard time eating everything I should....
Will this pass eventually? I am really hoping that it doesn't end up slowing down my metabolism in the long run....I'm not a coffee drinker, but tonight I called hubby to bring me home a coffee from Tim Hortons with hopes that it will wake me up a little bit...

Your stomach signifantly strunk while you were sick.
Give yourself time to recover. You are planning on consuming a good number of calories so I would try to return there. Just eat smaller more frequent meals until you recover.
You are doing great. and I commend you for listening to your body and stopping when you are full
Keep up the good work.

Hi,
Im Donna, and quite new to this. I also have been sick for the past 3 days.. was unable to eat anything much.. hence not filling in my diary for 3 days. Got a little annoyed with myself so dragged myself off to the gym this morning. Lasted about 15 minutes doing 'light' exercises then came home a bit shaky. Tried to eat my normal breakfast, but only managed half... then went out to cut the lawns. I dont feel sick anymore, I just dont have an appetite at all. Now im also worried cos when i input my foods, it says i will end up slowing down my metabolism.. and i know this aint good.
But i really cant force myself to eat when i dont want to.
Was good to hear you were the same. Makes me feel normal :-)0 -
Residual nauseau does that after a stomach flu. Sometimes it takes a full week or two to get your appetite back. Stay hydrated!!!0
