How's everyone doing these days?

Now that the semester is winding down for a lot of us, how are you balancing school and working out? I made myself a calendar last night. I'm actually being pretty diligent sticking to what I set out for myself. However, it means starting Monday, I have to be up at 7:00 am to start on the school work!

School is ROUGH right now. I am in first semester nursing school and my final is on Wednesday. We have to do self evaluations and class evaluations to get a "ticket" to take the final. Plus I have to do 6 hours of make up work for missing a clinical when I was sick one day. Then I have to do 4 competency modules in order to register for next semester. I also have to read the second semester student handbook and sign a form to turn in or else I can't register. Not to mention I am still having to prepare for my classes up until school ends and study for a comprehensive final. I mean SERIOUSLY. AGGGH!

Oh, and I am trying to work out a minimum of 3 times a week, and still work anywhere from 24 - 40 hours a week. :)

Besides that everything is great! LOL.

What are you guys going to school for?

I make sure I go to the gym either before class with time to spare to come home & clean up, or I go after school. But it's a juggling act these days with finals on the horizon! lol :flowerforyou:

here! It's tough!!! especially now that finals are here, it's impossible to find time to cook and workout + studying.

I'm in law school (prob obvious w/ the pic) any other grad students?

Thank goodness I don't have any tests, but I do have a 25-30 page paper due in three weeks. I should probably start on that...

I'll definitely be keeping up on working out. I'll need to get some stress relief in there somehow.

I'm in grad school as well, Rosa.

I am a teacher and a grad student attempting to finish her thesis. It IS tough, and I am a music teacher so I have entered "concert season", which is crazy busy. Just keep plugging along and making it happen. I drink a lot of coffee and tea :)

I am an accounting student with two finals in two weeks. A few more assignments to finish up, and then that's it. I GRADUATE on the 15th!!!!!!! That's it for me!! Woohoo!!!

I usually do my workouts on my days off, but I have also found time to walk around campus between classes. I try to take advantage of the time.

Being a single mom with four kids and school full-time has been rough, but I am finally finished!

    Good luck to you!!

I work full time and go to school full time. I'm also on the board of directors for a local theater. Time is precious these days, but I always make it to the gym at least 5 days a week, sometimes 6. It's hard, but if it's important, you make the time.
  • Here! Here! I too am in grad school (Phd) ! just started so I can't offer any advice, but I know that if I start now then by the time break hits I will be in the groove. I am trying to go on my days off (as if there really are any) and in the mornings. I find that if I have a partner I can go anytime, but it's better for me to get out of the way, because if not who knows how long my day will be!

I am a virology grad student (PhD), I try to work out in the gym before class/work.
Then do my at home workouts before bed. Its not easy balancing it all...but
the workouts really help with my stress levels though.

I'm a grad student, and have a 10 page paper due in a week, and I thought I had it tough! Then I read about your 25 pager! I couldn't imagine, especially because I'm used to doing calculations, not writing papers LOL!

Yeah...this is the longest paper that I've done for my program yet (this is my fifth course). That's not taking into account the one to two pages essays due each week of the class. Anyway, most of the paper will be taken up with some predictive analysis, so it should make for some fairly quick writing. I'm hoping so, at least.

I had two finals on friday and I've got 2 more on tuesday then I'll be done for this semester! Only one more to go and I'll have my bachelor's in Business and Public Policy when I graduate in May '11. :)

Working out and going to school is tough because I always feel like I need to be working or studying on something.. but luckily I've made it a prioroty to keep up with my workouts.. of course I've had a few exceptions with getting super busy and slacking off, but so far I've always got back into the habit pretty quickly. AND I finally found a friend to work out with me at my college gym! Most of my friends aren't into working out.. so it's been a problem up til now. lol

Thank goodness all of my papers and presentations are over with this semester.. I hate them both with a passion!
I definately feel the pain for those of you having to write such long papers.. ugh.. but good luck!
