Hi, Jim checking in

Hi, I'm Jim. I've actually been using MFP for 5 months, just never got into posting on here, just used it as a calorie counter. I hit my first goal of 10 lbs off and am shooting for about 7 more lbs before I get to 6-8% body fat.

My overall goal was to increase my stamina, feel better and lose a bit of the beer gut. I worked out quite a bit (I'm active duty military) but sometimes my job (a lot of flying) had me eating poorly and when I wasnt' deployed I was enjoying many a British Ale while being stationed in the UK.

On this deployment I decided to try the Paleo-ish diet. I still ate a few things that were verboten but for the most part I stuck to it (I'd say 95%). I feel a lot better and lost weight and combined with an interval exercise regimen and some weight lifting, it seems to be working pretty well. I will post more on that in the success stories, but for now, that's it.

    Hi Jim! Sounds like you found something that works for you! Thats great! :)

    I was on here for about 4 months and then started adding friends to my friends list and I started doing really well then. Its a great motivation to wake up and see all the progress my friends are making and it makes me want to give my best to the day too!

    We all have to find what works for us! Glad you seem to have found yours!
