Progress *so far*

I found some pictures from a year and a half ago and was shocked by how big I was. I mean I knew I was big, but i was in denial of how big I truly was. Seeing those pictures showed me how far I really have come. Now losing the last 30 lbs seems just a little bit easier :) I know I can do it and I will never let myself get that big ever again!! It's a little embarrassing posting these pictures but here goes nothing. Lol.

Honestly what has worked is staying under calories and exercising. And when you exercise really push yourself don't give up. When I started out I did 50 min of taebo a day and two 50 min walks a day. Then worked up to jogging twice a day for 30 min. And drinking plenty of water! It actually does help! Now was I 100% dedicated? No in the beginning I still ate pizza and ice cream and still lost weight because I stayed under calories. However after hitting some plateaus I had to change my eating habits completely. I took baby steps but still pushed myself

I hit my first slump at 35 lbs lost and ever since then it's been I'll lose a lb and hold at that weight for two weeks before I lose another lb. it's a little discouraging but i keep at it!!

    And thank you!!

    That's a big difference.

Thank you :) I'm glad I found those pictures. I didn't realize there was a difference. There are times I still feel I look like the same 200+ lb person so it's nice to see photos and realize I have made progress :)

I starter looking at the pictures and then I saw the last one when suddenly my jaw dropped when I saw the one for today. Amazing!! Super hard work is paying off good, keep it up!! I have one thing to comment regarding my weight loss if I may...I find it to go so slow, its driving me crazy!!! I am a single parent that works full time and studies, so all I can fit in my tight agenda is a 45 minute Tae Bo workout each night, and I've been loosing about 1 pound a week. I am adjusted at a 1200 cal a day which I do sometimes go over, but overall I still struggle to not over eat during the day and I am a bit frustrated with the progress since I joined MFP (4 pounds in 3 weeks). I don't know what I'm doing wrong though!

Do you drink enough water? A few times I hit some slumps and increasing my water helped. Too much sodium will also cause water retention so watch the sodium. Also do you snack at night? If I snack in bed it hinders my progress so when I get done with dinner I don't eat anything else for the rest of the night
