RUNNERS!! What's in your wardrobe??

When I first started running, I stuck with whatever I had in my closet. Then I upgraded to NB running sneakers (best choice ever!).
I bought two technical tank tops, a high quality sports bra and a good headband by UA to keep my ears warm. Then when the REALLY cold weather hit, I took the advice given here and bought running tights (1 Nike, 1 UA). This past weekend I got a UA Storm hoodie and a Champion cold gear top.
What's in your running wardrobe? Do you have stuff you wear specifically for running or do you wear whatever's on hand? What are your must haves?? What do you wear on a typical running day? (And what is your weather like?)
Right now I know I want a good pair of gloves, and I'll probably get some more when spring finally gets here, if it ever does!!

I haven't done much running outside this winter. Too cold and snowy and I've become a wimp in my old age! But, my staples for warmer weather are:
Nike V-neck legend t-shirts from ****'ssporting goods
Love these longer compression shorts: https://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/RRL1132/womens-rgear-highspeed-compression-8-short/
Love these shirts too: https://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/RRL2091/?cc=PPNFIFR667
For socks, I have some from Costco that work very well, though my feet don't seem to be picky on socks
Headsweats visor: http://www.headsweats.com/supervisor/
For winter running, my all time favorite, warmest tights are these:
http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/RRL1002/womens-rgear-hot-pants-tight/
I also have a pair of convertible mittens I love. You flip the mitten part back when you warm up and it reveals fingerless gloves.0 -
Clothes are used only for working out (running, cross training, etc.). Runs are outside in Florida unless heavy rain with thunderstorms. Fortunately I don't have to deal with cold, snowy weather.
Bottoms: typically wear shorts unless temp. is in low 30's or below
Running shorts - 8 pairs
Tights - 2 pairs
Shirts: prefer non-technical but thin material. Typically wear tank top.
Tank tops - 8 (50 degrees or higher)
Short sleeve shirts - 5 (40-50 degrees)
Long sleeve shirts - 3 (40 degrees or below)
Other items:
Running socks - 6 pairs
Sports Bra - 4
Running shoes - 2 pairs in rotation
Sunglasses specifically for athletics - 1 pair
Arm band for phone with headphones - Runkeeper (training plan) and Pandora (Dance Cardio Radio)
Glide and a small sweat towel
Hair always up in a ponytail, braided or in a bun.0 -
Shoes: Waveriders for street, walshes for trail, but hoping to upgrade to some inov8's :-)
Socks: (now mismatching) low foot running socks - lots!
Running shorts: 2 pairs
Running leggings: 3 pairs (two tights, one cropped)
Thin technical sleeveless tops: 3 (loose) - Nike/Quecha
Thin Long Sleeve tops: 2 - these are brilliant in the winter because I get too hot! (Ronhil)
Luminous thin jacket: 1 - good enough to cut some wind out and bear the odd light shower, but breathable and light.
Headband: to keep ears warm!
Neckwarmer/neckcloth: - more to pull up over my mouth when it gets really cold outside and it hurts my throat!
Thin gloves
Sports Bra's: 2
Sunglasses: 1 pair for athletics
ipod shuffle (goes in the legging pocket)
belts: 2! 1 holds two little bottles of water and has a pocket for gels (my belt for really long runs), the other is just like a little bum bag and fits gels and/or keys. I am thinking of changing to a water backpack as I find belts quite annoying and uncomfortable.

I'm in California, and while we can have cold days and temps below freezing, it's rare (especially this year, winter seems to have skipped us!). But I typically run in the morning when it can be pretty cold. All my gear is a tech fabric or wicking material. Most of my stuff comes from Target, Old Navy, TJ Maxx or Costco.
Running must haves -
Asics trail runners (currently Kahaha 6)
Wool socks (got some Smartwool socks over Christmas and I LOVE them!)
Full length tights (for really cold/windy days, rarely worn)
Cropped compression pants
Bike length shorts
Shorts (not compression but tight enough to avoid chaffing)
Tank tops
Short sleeve tops
Long sleeve, half zips are my favorite
Windbreaker/shell - very rarely worn
Fleece vest - last time I wore it I was way too hot!
Hat or visor (keeps hair contained, sweat, rain, sun, dust out of my eyes)
Fleece headband for cold days
Gloves with the tech/touch finger so I can use my phone - one pair Head sports gloves, and a couple of the cheap knit ones from Target for not so cold days
Armband for my phone
Earbuds

I have three pairs of running shoes in rotation right now. For clothes .... probably 12 to 15 bras, too many socks to count, a dozen pairs of running shorts with liners, 5 or 6 running skirts, and 15 - 20 tank tops. A couple pairs of running pants, and two pairs of tights - one pair is fleece lined. Hat, gloves, mittens for the colder days. I like the waffle knit thermal tops, and the Nike wool tops. Thin, but warm. A couple jackets. And one pink ninja face mask.
I really really like clothes.0 -
Oops forgot balaclava, spats, and Black Diamond headlight!0

Off the top of my head......

15 or more tech tees (most of them from races)
3 compression tops (a lifesaver for men on long runs.....)

more toques/beanies than I care to count (one of my favorites is an Adidas one that has a built in fleece ear warmer / liner
4 pairs merino wool socks (cold weather gear)
too many running socks to count

a couple of balaclavas
5 or 6 half zips of varying weights
a couple of pairs of compression socks
5 or 6 pairs under armour compression shorts

One light coat of baby oil ... and a reflective belt.0
-
New Balance running shoes (I ONLY run in NB, but will cross train in Nike)
Two technical running tanks, typically only worn during a race. Otherwise I wear cotton t-shirts or tanks when training.
A few moisure wicking capris
Two bras - if you've got tig 'ol bitties, get a Panache or Freya sports bra. Worth every damn penny!
SPARKLE SKIRTS! I can't seem to run a race without wearing a sparkle skirt. I love them - they're lightweight and frisky and I like to believe that they make me go faster.
Bike-length shorts (to wear under the sparkle skirts...I have to wear that length otherwise they roll up my tree trunk thighs)
Headbands - another necessity is those giant hair tie kind of things, as I need to keep the short hairs out of my face.
Armband - I've tried wearing the traditional sport style armbands but I can't ditch my handmade one purchased off of Etsy (SewPosh Designs)
I live in SoCal so I don't really need to worry about weather/layering. My running-specific wardrobe isn't all that big, but I like it.0 -
One light coat of baby oil ... and a reflective belt.
This makes me feel better about my tiny selection. You're MUCH more minimalist than me!! ;-)0 -
Hmm... let me see if I can recite what i have.
One pair of Asic Gel Keyano 19.
One pair of Nike LunarEclipse 3.
I have a few short sleeve tech shirts, like maybe 6 or 7.
I have 2 long sleeve tech shirts.

1 compression undies
1 pair of running specific shorts.
a bunch of basket ball shorts and 3 pairs of sweat bottoms that are not necessarily running specific.
A few sweat tops and hoodies again not specific for running.
A Champion running jacket
1 pair of CEP knee high compression running socks
3 pairs of anklet running socks.
I have a running water bottle holder that also holds my cell phone that wraps around my left hand.
I think that's about it.0 -
3 pair Vibram Five Fingers, 1 in current use
3 pair Altra Instinct 1.5s, 1 in current use

2 pair fleece gloves
1 felt hat with ear flaps
and a fantastic, bright orange jacket that I've only worn a few times!
Next, I'm thinking it's time for some actual running shorts! Also, my tights have holes in the knees with pink nail polish around them to keep them from spreading. I might get some new ones next winter.0 -
Trail shoes
road shoes
calve sleeves
compression underwear
dri fit clothing
also, I just got some Nike blister resistant socks that I love0 -
One light coat of baby oil ... and a reflective belt.
This makes me feel better about my tiny selection. You're MUCH more minimalist than me!! ;-)
A belt seems kind of restrictive don't you think?0 -
I'm still a new runner. I have Brooks Ghost 6 shoes and balega socks that I love. Other than that I just wear whatever workout gear is clean.
I've been told that shoes are the gateway drug though, so I forsee more expensive running gear in my future.0 -
One light coat of baby oil ... and a reflective belt.
Visibility is important.0 -
Everything else can be negotiable, but I must have Smart Wool socks, good running shoes, and a high quality high-impact sports bra. The quality of Smart Wool socks simply cannot be overstated.0
-

3-4 long sleeved shirts

What's in your running wardrobe?
Running wardrobe?
My whole freaking wardrobe consists of free shirts from charity runs, c9 shorts and sweats from Target, and three pairs of Brooks Adrenaline shoes.
I normally run in sweats or pajama pants and compression shirts with a hoodie over and socks on like mittens.
The upside is that I dress a LOT more colorfully now.0 -
I love my New Balance.
I have 2 pairs in rotation
2 compression pants
1 compression short
2 capri length compression pants
1 wind breaker type jacket
3/4 zip wicking jacket
2 sports bras
3 tanks
HRM
Headphones
Phone
Head bands to keep the hair out of my face
and probably other stuff I've forgotten
I haven't been able to find a phone holder I like, so I put in a plastic bag and then it goes in my bra....lol probably not ideal but it works for now.0 -
