The dreaded scale.

Just wanted to post a quick note mainly so that new people could see (as well as some part way into their effort like me).

Monday is (or was) my official weigh in day every week. This Monday I was really hoping to get below 200, which would put me less than 20 lbs from my goal weight. So there I was in my bathroom, I took one look at the mirror, gave myself the finger, and hopped on. Bam, 205. Of course, I knew it wasn't correct (so you know, I have consistently had +/-3 lbs with this scale). I stepped off, and back on, as I generally get three weights and average them. Bam, 187. Blew my mind. This time, after a couple years on this scale, I realized something. If I put most of my weight on my left foot, it weigh's high. If I put most of my weight on my right foot, it's low. So how do I know which is right? I don't.

Long story short: The scale is a worthless piece of (oh excuse me). I happen to work at a healthcare facility, so I will be finding a time to take my pants off (tee hee) and use the medical scale hopefully. If not I will just wait until my next drill.

Moral: Don't get discouraged by the scale. I'm sure some are better than others, but as everyone says, your weight will fluctuate, as will the weighing surface.

End Rant.

Andrew
