Menstral eating habits different than normal?

So far today I have eaten almost half of my calories for breakfast. I would feel guilty if my uterus weren't trying to escape my lower body in a fashion even Ridley Scott would be frightened of. Usually, I make eggs for my son and I, maybe some toast or an English muffin if I'm running late getting him to daycare. Today I made eggs, and pancakes with fresh strawberries and Nutella. No shame.
I am only a breakfast girl for a few days of the month, It helps my cramps hurt less to have something in my stomach all morning/afternoon.
Do any other ladies change up their eating habits during their special delicate time? Do any of you try and increase your iron intake for these few days?

God yes! I'm there now. ..the week before and a day or so into it. I will seriously kill someone with my bare hands if they are in my way of chocolate ... they say its a deficiency of iron and magnesium, but I take supplements of those...still doesn't help. I crave like a lunatic ... the boyfriend is very understanding...he just hands me his credit card and shakes his head... says "here babe. I know, I know"0

Haha, I've never been the type of person to get crazy cravings, but I always switch from only eating in the afternoon/evenings to the mornings.0

I'm the opposite - I can't eat ANYTHING during the first few days of my TOM or I spend all day on the toilet. Usually I wind up drinking a million glasses of water and eating some dinner so I can try to sleep away the cramps afterwards.0

I definitely crave junk food juring that time. I get v heavy painful periods. I take an iron supplement as I'm a vegetarian too.0

Salty food and chocolate. It can't be stopped. I try to keep it under control, but that's all I want to eat for a whole week.0

My super hungry days are about a week up until the day I actually get it. Last month.. I was ravenous for food for about 3 days before. I'm not looking forward to the hunger pains this up coming month. It was really torturous.
This time i'm planning.
Cauliflower latkes... in the fridge
Omeletes.
Chicken, lots of chicken.
Salad and lots of veggies.
Water, water, water, water....0
