For flat tummy

Hi,

This is my current belly. I want to reduce it and have a flat tummy eventually. not sure if this is achievable by diet and exercise alone without surgery?

I am not into surgery and I want to get this done in a healthy way. Through workout and healthy eating and lifestyle.
Is this possible.

    Yes it is possible , but you have to work for it. Lots of exercise and eating a healthy diet. Don't expect to lose it all in a week or even in a month, expect to lose 1-2 pounds weekly and you will keep it off. Good luck!

    You would not be a candidate for surgery, most doctors want you to be at least 100 pounds overweight and it has to be affecting your health.

    Alas I can't see the image.

    You can't spot reduce. Your body will get rid of fat wherever it's predisposed to lose it first.

    Consider adding a weight lifting routine to your exercise plan. Weights tend to create a focus on fat loss rather than just weight loss.

    A flat stomach (and abs) comes from a reduced body fat percentage. You may or may not have skin issues and you may or may not hold onto weight there longer than anywhere else. It's hard to say - we all lose differently based on genetic programming.

    With 60lbs to lose, I would put this issue on the back burner if I were you. Just keep a moderate deficit, be patient, give it time. Do exercise you enjoy (strength training is a must....heavy lifting gives the most bang for your buck). Continue to work at it and when you get within 10-20lbs of your goal, you'll have an idea of where you will end up.

    Thanks I am 60 pounds overweight. I am 185 as of last week and trying to get to 125 pounds or atleast 130 pounds. But definitely want a flat tummy.

    For some reason I dont know why image is not showing. But you can copy the image link above and put in address bar and it does opens the link for the image. Thanks for replying. i will definitely do weight lifting which I didnt wanted before as I thought I will build bulky muscles.. LOL

    First, I applaud your openness. But I think you are putting the cart before the horse, in other words you have a decent amount of weight to lose before you see what you will really look like. I recommend you eat right and exercise a good deal.
