Hi Everyone

I'm not new to MFP but I'm new to the forums. I'm in the early (big) weight loss stages (10lbs since 19 Jan-only started logging from 224 rather than 227 & I'm 217 now) so I know motivation & encouragement is going to be needed when that slows down. in the days ahead!

I eat fairly clean (very little processed food due to an aggressive cancer many years ago & I dont own a microwave!) so that's not really a habit I need to get into. I'm good with water and logging so looking forward to I estimate 10-12 months from now.

I'm doing static bike for min 30 mins 4-5x week alongside 30-45 mins wii fit cardio muscle & balance exercises. I want to re-start running & am an experienced runner but would like to shed some pounds before getting back to pounding the pavement/treadmill :)

I was a runner and as I crept over 230 my knee started to act up and I was walking instead. I got as high as 249 and was walking in order to not aggravate the knee. When I got down to 225 or so my knee felt much better and I started running. The lighter I got the better the running got. I'm under 200 now and running over 6 miles every other day. The weight loss made all the difference--I really thought my running days were over. So, you will have the same experience I predict. Burn those calories and keep that net calorie level on plan and you will enter the virtuous circle.
