80/10/10, Raw, Vegan, Clean Eaters?

I have been experimenting with 80/10/10 / mostly raw vegan lifestyle and have been using myfitnesspal to track ratios, trends, fitness, etc. That said, are there any other females out there doing the same? I would love to learn from the experience of others and have a sense of 'i'm not the only one doing this' (currently, I only have a few family members as friends and they rarely log in let alone follow similar nutritional and fitness choices) for I have only been doing this for about three months (even though I have experienced significant success in multiple areas)!

My mindset is not one of deprivation but of nourishment, not one of pushing past limits but finding a place that is maintainable for life. Whether you are Raw or not, vegan or not, I would love the support and would love to support you in return (recipe sharing, anyone?)!

Namaste

I am not raw but I am vegan. I follow the 5:2 WOE and am currently at maintenance. My goals are to keep improving my strength and fitness. Nutrious food is what I'm all about ... unless it's some amazing vegan recipe for a dessert required to improve the quality of my life. I am playing around with going raw two days a week to start but frankly with the miserable weather and long winter I will probably wait until spring. I would love a new vegan pal.

Yay! Thanks for taking the time to read my post and introduce yourself! Congratulations at hitting your maintenance point!
  • Hello:) I've been vegan for 10 months and raw for a month. I've already been salt free/oil free for a couple months but going raw just took my health to the next level! I have so much more energy now, and even lost a few pounds I wasn't planning to lose (water weight probably.) Check out 30bananasaday.com if you haven't already. It's the best:) Just make sure you get enough calories in. At least 2500 cals a day for females. More if you're active. If you want results quicker then go on banana island. This is where you eat nothing but bananas for one to four weeks. Just make sure you eat around 25 a day! Lol depending on how toxic you are you might detox real bad, but it'll be worth it in the end. Good luck!

Hey! Thank you so much for posting! I have been following Freelee, Megan Elizabeth, HappySexyHealthy, etc. for a couple months now and the only 'dieting' or rather I might even say 'health' success I have ever been able to find has been through the information they have shared on youtube (I got so excited about it and my husband was so supportive of the choices and positive change he saw that he bought me 80/10/10 on audiobook). I will agree that the results are amazing! I am trying to work towards a sweet spot (I just began this past december) and incorporating more and more raw until I am 95% or even 100% (right now I am between 60% and 80%). The hardest part for me is raw dressings for my salads, especially without vinegar. Oil is hard enough but vinegar is even harder for me to eliminate (I have no clue why, I can tolerate 'healthy' things that most people would not even touch!). Do you have any suggestions? I am on a pretty tight budget for all of this so I can't do anything too fancy, but I want to be excited about my salads again, lol!
  • Hey, I'm a plant based-high raw vegan! It's awesome to meet others who follow the lifestyle! I have been doing this for a few months and I feel better than I ever have- improved depression, no acid reflux or stomach discomfort like I used to have badly, whiter teeth, brighter skin, better digestion, more energy, I haven't even gotten the slightest cold or sickness.. the list goes on and on! Definitely keep it up my friend!

I am following a combination of "Eat to Live", 80/10/10 & HCRV that suits my lifestyle.

I feel like blessed for having found the raw vegan lifestyle and loving each and every minute of it.
