Hi all, first post for me Have been training 4-5 times a week since early Jan with a trainer - mainly strength training, my fitness has dramatically improved and I've lost inches, but only half a stone - is this normal? When can I expect more dramatic weight loss?

weight gain is slow.
and guess what- weight loss is slow.
and is controlled by diet- not working out.
So congrats on the loss- but keep it up really nail down the diet stuff. Weight loss is NOT actually linear- but on average you look to lose about 1/2 to 1 lb per week. (unless you are really really over weight- then it can come off much faster to start)0 -
Losing inches is more important than the scale because you are lowering fat percentage and increasing muscle. I have seen people gain weight on the scale, but look more amazing than they did at a lighter weight because of strength training.0
