So on my week 3 weigh in I went from 2.3 pounds lost to 1.3 pounds, but I actually worked out more than I did the previous week. My maintanence calorie intake is 3300 so to lose 2 pounds a week I may only consume 2300 but I do atleast an hour of cardio 5 days a week and resistance training 3 days a week and I always over-estimate just incase on my calorie counting and I still rarely go over...How in the world did i only lose 1.3 pounds? Atleast I am losing..just curious.

Because weight loss isn't linear. And since age and how much you have to lose makes a different, too high a calorie deficit can lower your metabolic rate more than you'd like.
Working out more intense also will result in higher water/glycogen retention.

Wait, so 2.3 plus another 1.3, or 1.3 net for 3 weeks? I guess I'm asking what's your total loss for 3 weeks?0

1 pound/week is a generally healthy rate of loss, and weight loss is neither a linear progression nor a race. Most folks employing a healthy weight loss strategy find that, after an initial 'surge' of water weight loss, their rate of loss tapers off a bit. It took time to put on extra weight; allow your body time to lose the extra weight, too.0

Muscle weighs more than fat, and did you take your measurements ? You can lose inches without losing weight. Best of luck to you.0

Your weeks are going to vary. I'm on a 1 1/2 lb per week deficit and have been pretty consistent hitting the daily goal. My last three weeks have been -2 lbs, -1 lbs, -2 lbs.0

i've seen my weight fluctuate by 7lbs in 24 hours due to retained water being shed. 1 gallon of water weighs roughly 8lbs. your body is constantly retaining and shedding water for all sorts of reasons. don't get hung up on the number on the scale for this reason.0 -
