HELP!! Need to eat 1258 calories for dinner!

My normal calorie intake is supposed to be 1200 a day. However, today I did a lot of heavy to moderate cleaning as well as Turbo Jam and now it says I still have 1258 calories left. I don't need it to be exact and can go under that a bit in case I didn't burn as many calories so maybe eating back 1000 would be good. Can someone give me some ideas for a nice, high calorie dinner? Thanks!

Depends what you have around to use as ingredients?
You could get a pizza and have a Saturday treat if you are not into the whole 'clean' eating thing.

    Cheeseburger fries and a shake.

Wait. That would be more like 1500.

Maybe just a Coke. No mayo.

    Jealous-ish.

Hi, I don't know if I have any good choices for you, when I've got a ton of calories left over, I usually have a drink or two! :drinker:

Also, be careful. The exercise calculators on here almost always overestimate calories burned. So if those 1258 are all calories burned, I'd eat about 600-800 of them.

Sorry, I don't have much else to add, I just had to comment on your thread because I love your profile name. If you take a look at my ticker, you'll see I'm not a Bills fan. My husband is, and he loves "The Legend!"

Not all of them were burned. I think I had like 600 left before that. LOL And tell your hubby GO BILLS!!! EJ Manuel is gonna kick some butt in year 2!!! :) (Also, I've always liked the Bears. I spent 2 weeks in Chicago and fell in love with the city. My mom's a Packers fan so I've had to familiarize myself with that division and they're probably my favorite of them. Da Bills and Da Bears! Haha)

High calorie foods usually have a higher fat content so salmon or a pork chop would be good.
A full cup serving of cooked brown rice is great and gives you the carbs you need. I cook it in fat free chicken stock with a tablespoon of healthy oil per dry cup of rice - delicious!

Here's something you can use to add calories anytime. If you don't have protein powder, it still has lots of calories.

Weight gain shake: can be consumed once per day, and contains 1,066 calories.
    Blend until smooth:
16 ounces of whole milk - 292 calories
2 scoops of chocolate Premium Series Protein - 260 calories
2 ounces of heavy cream - 205 calories
    1 large banana - 121 calories
    2 tbsp peanut butter - 188 calories

    Hope that helps!

Mmmm. If I had that many calories left for dinner, I'd probably want something like pasta in a cream sauce . *drool* .

Or maybe have one of your regular healthy dinners with a nice dessert after?

In my opinion is better to only count calories burned doing Turbo Jam. Cleaning is overly estimated in the database and it is mostly part of your life style.

You could eat a baked potato (or rice) with a salad and roasted or baked chicken breast and some fruit and/or cottage cheese or greek yogurt for desert. If you have calories left over, maybe a glass of wine or a piece of dark chocolate.

Dr. Toboggan recommends a Billy Barou from Moe's Southwest Grill. Your call on the meat.

A Billy Barou with chicken, black beans, pico and queso will pack the following:

    Calories 1354
    Fat 76g
    Carbs 122g
    Protein 54g
    Fiber 18g

LOL you guys are so awesome. By cleaning, I didn't , mean your typical doing dishes. I meant hours of scrubbing floors, sweeping, mopping, using rub scrubber and vacuum multiple times, scrubbing walls and windows, lifting heavy furniture. I'm still at it actually. I've been sweating all day then went hard with Turbo Jam. I haven't eaten much today because I've been so busy so a lot of those calories are leftover from before all the workouts.

At dinner i eat my biggest meals and they're between 600-700 cals.
12 oz chicken breast, 217g of baked potato with 1/3 c shredded cheese and 2 tbsp salsa, 1 container of green giants broccoli and carrots steamer. You could throw in a glass of whole milk or a cup of ice cream for dessert! I'd prefer to eat something healthier for those 1k than just stuffing it with a cheese burger because I have 1k calories to eat >.> Just personal preference.
