what is clean eating

I've seen people saying they clean eat, what exactly is it?

    It means different things to different people, but usually it means eating fresh foods and avoiding processed and refined foods, like packaged foods that have lots of ingredients.

    You can still lose weight while eating foods that aren't "clean", if you're in a calorie deficit.

    To me clean food is what our Grannies called food when they were girls. If it is picked off a vine, or dug up out of the ground, washed off and sent to the store to be sold, that is food. Even the factory farm meat is better than buying processed meat. Most of what is on the shelves are food products. That is they are made with food. You will come out ahead to by the food and prepare it yourself. Both health wise and money wise. So a good way to think of it as you are trying to decide if something is food or a food product, ask yourself if your Granny ate it when she was a kid. If not, take a pass on it.
