I eat out at Hotels & Restaurants quite often - how do people recommend tracking these types of meals?

Not sure about motels but restaurants, at least "well named" or franchises, have on-line nutrition available.

Chain restaurants generally have online nutrition information. You can look it up before hand and decide what you want to eat, and stick with it.

Many times you have to estimate (if it's not a chain). The longer you calorie count the more accurate your estimates will get. Always overestimate for restaurants since the portions are larger and the most likely use more fat/oils during cooking than you would at home.
