Would like to get feedback on those that are doing the P90X program that have been able to do a move that when started were not able to.

For me it was Crane, when I first started and attempted it, felt like my wrist were going to shatter...now I can hold it for more than 30 seconds...on my 1st month of my second round of the program.

Basic, standard push up. I could only do on my knees. Now I can do about 15 before I need to drop to my knees.
  • I'm on the Lean program of P90X and this is only week 2, but the chaturanga move got me. But this week, I was able to do it. It felt great.

Oh and thanks to Tony and P90X, I was down 3 lbs! I'm definitely hooked on the X!!!

Dive Bomber push-ups. I was only able to do two during the first round. My max has been 16.
Also, I counted one day during chest and back. I was able to 202 push-ups (no knees).
  • Close grip over hand pulls up. Couldn't do any without a chair when I first time. Now I can do maybe 5 without. They are still freaking tough tho.

And the last set of dive bombers in chest and back are always tough. I'm beat once I get there.

Just started my 3 round last week.
  • I am on my second month of p90x lean version and when I started I could not do a pull up with chair assistance. Now with the chair assistance I can do 9.

That is impressive, those Dive bomber are tough and your picture shows that they have been working. You look great!

    wow...so many of them!

Crane would definetly be one of them...couldn't do a second of them for the first weeks of P90X, now Im on day 54 of the first round and I can do 30 seconds of it and I just get out because I get tired, not because of lack of balance...

Pull ups are still a chalange for me, but I can do at least 2 without chair assistance, and I couldn't do 1 in the beggining.

Plus the Ab Ripper X workout. I could NEVER do the 50 Oblique V-ups and now I can do them all WITH my shoes on, lol..

    I LOVE the X!!

I can't wait for the day that I can say I can do everything from start to finish on the Ab ripper X workout.

Oh, the plyo push-ups. I feel proud of those too. I could only do one with a pillow under my face the first time. I was so scared. Now I can do six straight and I'm not scared. I do them without the pillow. LOL

i'm starting to be able to do some of all of the ab ripper x moves, i still cant do 25 of each but when i started there were some moves i couldnt do at all.

the super man i'm getting better at getting my legs and arms higher
the yoga stuff is still bothersome, i get bored by it and lately have been substituting it with cardio x
  • I have to say pushups in general. I started off doing girlie pushups because I attempted one on day 1 and about died then never tried again in round 1 of lean, then I decided to try again in round 2. When I tried them that time, I was amazed that I was rocking more man pushups then girlie ones. Now I am doing Insanity and amazed that my upper body is so much stronger. Still can't do unassisted pull ups but its alright

Just did Plyo pushups for the first time monday, did about 7 or 8 in a row, gonna shoot for more next time, also in Plyo on "twist combo" i can do the 360 spin like Dom does now, and also I can keep up with the on "jump knee tuck" where before I would stop early or go at the slower pace...Wow there are so many things I keep discovering that I can do now that I looked at before and said "Yeah right"!!

Congrats on all of that. That twist combo used to make me dizzy, but I don't get dizzy during the workouts anymore. Half of a banana does help, but over-all fitness has improved. I haven't done the 360 spin like Dominic. Soon though!!!
  • Single leg wall squats. I was happy when I could do the regular wall squats, but when I could do the single leg, I was ecstatic! Plus, finishing the whole plyo video was quite a feat.
