Day 30 - Still counting!

Thanksgiving was good... we had *TWO* Thanksgiving dinners... a basic one on Thursday then a big one the next day when one of our family members returned to San Diego after duty on the USS Carl Vinson. I ate lots of great food and I know I went over my calorie count but that was OK. I had dropped 10 pounds before Thanksgiving and one week after (the missing week I'll call it) I've managed to get rid of any extra pounds I've put on over Thanksgiving.
Today though is Day 30 and I am really liking myfitnesspal. I am treating calorie counting like a game... I can't go over the daily score and not only am I losing weight, I don't feel like I am suffering. If I want a burger, OK... I just have to remember that is much worse than a light sandwich Even so, I never go to bed feeling hungry and I feel good about what I am doing.
My new goal is to drop another 10 pounds this month and I see no problem doing so!

I am in the same place you are Day 30 and down 10 lb (9.4 actually but I'm blaming the lack of .6 on all the sodium I had yesterday).
This site is awesome!! Congrats on your success so far!! :drinker:0 -
Greatly put!!!! I hit my 30th day here also and Im still at it I have only lost 8 lbs but my goal is 10lb a month and this was a trial run. Techinally my month is on the 9th so I still have until next wk to hit my 10lb goal and I think I will hit it and slow and steady is the best way to do this thing.0

Go you!! I know what you mean about treating it like a game. Some days I can't, most often when I've been sick recently because then I'm both ravenous since that's what my body does during convalescence and also so miserable from the illness that I can't focus on any game. So I haven't been making progress as fast as you and probably won't. But the "game" aspect of it has definitely helped me to stay on track most days and not feel deprived. I'm so glad it's working so well for you!0
