i ha a steady weight loss, have been working on it for about 8months now, and am down by 30lbs....at about 24lbs down i hit a plateu and would gain and lose the same couple of lbs....
but lately the scale is showing a 1/2lb a day loss
now i'm not eating as much as i should, i only just make it to 1200cals some days...and i workout alot...lately it has been everyday, maybe 1day a week off...the last couple of days i have added in 20mins of strength training
is it possible to lose 1/2lb a day!?! my hrm says i'm in the fat burning zone for at least 100mins of a 120mn workout...so is it likely to be fat coming off or am i doing something wrong(i don't have access to a body fat monitor to see if that is dropping)
any advice would be appreciated

Well first off, I wouldn't weigh yourself everyday. Second, no its not possible to lose half a pound of fat everyday for any extended period of time. IMO at least. I believe the general rule is that about a pound of fat can be taking off every week, maybe a little bit more. Anything above that will probably be muscle.
There is 3500 calories in a pound of fat, and only 600 in a pound of muscle. So it is easier to lose the muscle.
Only doing strength for twenty minutes is not long enough to maintain lean mass. (muscle).
P.S should of added.. Just because the HRM says your in the fat burning zone, doesn't mean anything to your body. It will go after the easiest thing to make energy. So in the case of not eating enough, it will go after muscle. It is easier for your body to break it down.0
