I work as a salesman, and work lots of hours almost 7 days a week. I have started dieting, and lost a impressive amount of weight in a week (about 13 lbs) but if you knew my eating/drinking habits before, you'd know why. I quit the caffeine, all water now which I am fine with I love it. And use to eat large pizzas, wings etc; all day. Anyways. At work I normally eat all three meals, and I've been packing protein bars, a turkey sandwich and some fruit. I obviously don't want to eat the same thing every day, and am taking a trip to the store tomorrow to get more healthy food. What are some good brands, ideas, recipes etc; I can make, and take to work with me. Must be simple etc; Also which brands of fiber bars etc; do people eat?

I can relate to your situation, being a pre-nursing college student. As far as sandwiches go, I have done the turkey as you are doing, as well as used extra lean sliced roast beef instead of the turkey-only 10 extra calories per 2 oz serving compared to turkey, still lots of protein, different flavor. Right now I'm having turkey burgers for lunch by forming 4 oz of extra lean ground turkey into a patty and cooking it on the skillet and topping with skim cheese, tomato, and mustard and I have steamed broccoli on the side. You could do tuna sandwiches-I made mine with 1 can tuna, 2 tbsp cottage cheese, mustard, 1 tbsp dill relish, 1 hard boiled egg chopped, half a Roma tomato chopped, mix together and put into a sandwich and you can eat like that or wrap in foil and bake for a little bit. You can do taco salad using 4 oz extra lean ground turkey cooked with taco seasoning and then just put it on top of lettuce with some cottage cheese and salsa-I did that for a while too. You can do turkey or chicken wraps as well or even a tuna wrap too.
