Soar Throat

Should I be excercising with a soar throat? I had the flu two weeks ago, today, and my throat hasn't been soar. This morning I woke up with a soar throat (like usual) thinking it would go away, but it hasn't gone away, it's only worse feeling! Can I exercise, or should I hold off until tomorrow?

If it's just a sore throat and the rest of you feels fine, I would go ahead an exercise. Go to the store and pick up some lozenges (my favorites are cepacol & sucrets), it will help.

I had that earlier this year, and am getting it again. I did find that when I worked out, I actually did not cough as much. That said, when I went to the Dr. the first time, it was strep. Ten days of antibiotics to clear it up. I think this time is just a cold, but it is acting like the other time. Sore throat, coughing that is productive, but I am not getting anything from my chest, but from my throat.
Do what you can, keep rested otherwise, and drink fluids and take in proteins to heal muscles after workouts. That is what the doc told me, and that, along with the pills worked.
