I thought maybe I could share a few of my progress photos because I am stuck inside today. Everyone please share yours and lets stay motivated!
My journey began here in 2011. I was so out of shape and had been that way since I started college in 2006 and gained 50lbs my first year! I didnt start losing weight until I was at my highest of 240lbs I had some success and lost about 25lbs! I was so ecstatic!
Then I was derailed a bit with a breakup and a motorcycle accident that fractured my shoulder. I left MFP for a little while and started weight watchers. Through WW I lost another 30lbs. I was working at a desk type job and not moving much. But I made efforts at the gym and was working out 4-6 times a week!
My birthday came and went (2013) and I was at my all time low since high school. A whopping 50lb difference.
May 2012 on the left May 2013 on the right.
So to celebrate I took a few more photos while cleaning out my closet!
April 2012 on the left May 2013 on the right

May 2010 to May 2013
Then in July of 2013 I started a new job. I stopped going to the gym and watching what I ate. I gained apporoximately 20lbs in 6 months. This job is a construction type job and I was exhausted from just my job. I was walking miles a day carrying heavy materials and using my body like I had never used it before. The scale kept creeping up but the only thing I was noticing was muscle! I have only dropped about 10 of those pounds that I put back on but I have gained so much more!
In January of 2014 I signed up for a 5k and a mud run! I completed my first 5k. And now I am addicted and have done more than one! I am signed up for a mud run in May!
Completing my second 5k ever! I was so excited!!!
I may be 20lbs heavier than I was this time last year. But I feel stronger and fitter than ever. I can't wait to see more motivational posts and photos. Everyone here and in my life has been so helpful and supportive. I can't wait to see what the rest of 2014 has to offer!
I have resized and resized the two photos side by side and they wont shrink. So if they are appearing too big to you, you can right click and select "view image in another tab" to see the whole thing.... I hate photobucket!

I never could run before! I hated it since I was a kid because I was terrible at it. Now I am getting better and am so excited to see my body getting faster. I highly suggest starting with couch to 5k or something similar so you don't injure yourself!0 -
Good Luck on the mud run. I'm signed up for Tough Mudder Seattle on Sept. 27th.0
