    Early mornings, curled up on the couch, with a soft blanket, sipping on a nice big ol' cup of hot coffee, with my doggy curled up right next to me. :)

    I enjoyed reading what makes everyone happy in this thread:)

    When my children talk about art, anthropology or social issues and I'm hearing their pure thoughts.
    When I see other parents show pride for their child's accomplishments.
    Going away somewhere warm with my husband, or just being alone together.
    Sunshine and waves.
    Parties with friends.
    Running.
    Finding myself on the other side of a difficult and trying situation.
    Movies that make me cry, (but not too sad)
    Feeling, at the end of the day, like I made a significant difference in one person's life.
    Art.
    Music.


    I just know I will forget one and want to edit after, but I won't:)

    *Going to bed every night with the same number of kids I woke up with.
    *All the wacky wonderful surprising things my kids say that catch me totally off guard.
    *Every time one of my kids tell me they love me.
    *Every time one of my kids tell my wife they love her.
    *Every morning when I wake up next to the love of my life. Oh, she's no saint and we fight all the damn time. But even when I'm angry with her, that's still endlessly better than not having her around.
    *Beer, or wine.
    *Chocolate - dark. Don't give me that milk chocolate crap.
    *A really really hard workout. Or a race day. Nothing says happiness like a race-induced chemical imbalance.

    Curling up in my bed after a long day with a cup of hot tea with some mind-numbing television (I'm a college student, I read enough) and getting quality time with my best friend, no cell phones, no interruptions, just being together.
