30 mins of indoor exercise

Hey all, usually I do 3x 30min runs a week which burns around 300kcal a pop. This week i am stuck in as my little chi has had puppies and want to keep an eye on them :) any good ideas I can do for exercise at home which will burn as good kcal? i have some free weights and a shake weight. TY! x

    I was told that youtube has some workout videos or just put on some music and dance. :-)

    I can hardly keep up. I play this on my TV through the YouTube app, works a treat. We've had so much rain here, had to find an indoor alternative to my running.

    When I'm stuck in the house I walk stairs. Burns about 450 kcal in 30 minutes.

    Any type of HIIT or Tabata bodyweight routine should do the trick. You could do lower, upper, or full body exercises.

    Ex: Tabata (20 secs / 10 rest)

    1) Push up x 20secs
    2) Squats x 20secs

    Alternate between the 2 exercises 4 times = 8 mins

    3) Pull ups/ or rows
    4) lunges

    Alternate between the 2 exercises 4 times = 8 mins

    5) Dips
    6) Mountain climbers

    Alternate between the 2 exercises 4 times = 8 mins

    7) planks or core exercise
    8) Burpees

    Alternate between the 2 exercises 4 times = 8 mins

    **Total of 32 mins, add 1 min between each routine. With this, you can mix and match whatever you like, just giving a template**

    This Ex is a full body routine. You could just do upper body, or just lower body.

    Jillian Michael's 30 day shreds and other workoouts are for around 25-40 mins each and give a really good workout - try them on YouTube:)
