Hi. Joined MFP about a month ago to help with maintaining a 30+ pound weight loss over the past year (although a lifetime struggle!). Love the MFP website but looking for a way to connect with those who are specifically interested in talking about and sharing information on weight maintenance (vs loss or gain), including challenges, tips, strategies, success stories, etc.

Me too! I'm trying to maintain, although I'm up a couple of lbs on my lowest weight already. I'd loveto find out how everyone else is doing.

Hi, I would love to join you or have you all come over to the thread that Becca mentioned.

I need a bit more support.

Thanks everyone! I've been reading the maintenance thread, which has been great, but wondering how many calories people are finding that it takes to maintain - realizing that this will vary based on your maintenance weight, exercise, etc.

I am 5'2" and workout everyday for an hour before work. I don't log my exercise so even though my maintenance calories say I should be eating 1,540, I am over everyday - usually between 400-500 calories - which is somewhat less than my exercise calories (plus I live in NYC so walk a lot between home, subway, etc. ). I haven't seen anyone (except the men) say they are eating 2,000 calories and still finding it hard to maintain (vs. losing). I am NEVER thought I would say this, but I don't want to lose more weight! Has anyone had the same experience?

Appreciate any advice - especially from those who have been successful at maintaining for a bit.
