Zucchini Noodles

I'd love to try making Zucchini (courgette) noodles as an alternative to pasta... Can anybody recommend a good noodle maker? I've seen some gadgets that make julienne strips but I'd like one that makes them round like spaghetti. Also, I'm from the UK so something UK based would be great; failing that, a supplier that does international shipping. Thanks!

I have the spirooli and love it! I use it on zucchini, carrots, cabbage, onions, cucumber and the list goes on. The zucchini really does look like spagetti when you use it on this kitchen gadget. You don't want to cook it very long or else it will go to mush but it tastes great. There is a website that has a lot of great recipes too..it's called inspiralized and it showcases all kinds of stuff made with this spiral cutter. hth0

i'm in the UK too - i actually have ordered two of them, both from amazon. one is Gefu Spirelli and is great for courgette and carrot. However, not so much for things like sweet potato or butternut squash, which is why i then bought the lurch spirali. I'd recommend either, they're both great. the lurch one produces less waste, and is more versitile, but does take up more counter/cupboard space. so if you only really want to do courgette/zuchinni, then I'd recommend the Gefu Spirelli.0

Would be worth the money if it helps0 -
I just use a vegetable peeler. Cheaper than buying another kitchen gadget you may use a few times. I have thought about getting one, but I read the reviews and just decided against it. Anyone else have better luck?0

I use a julienne vegetable peeler like the one I linked to below. No need to buy a gadget that only does one thing and takes up room in my small kitchen.

I use a plain vegetable peeler without any problem. I also don't cook them- I just mix them with a little salt and let them drain in a colander for an hour or so.0
