my name is johno and im new to this webste. Just started my diet and im looking for friend for encouragement along the way. Feel free to friend request me or give any tips or words of encouragement for a beginner.

    Tips:

    Figure out how many calories you need to consume and choose an exercise (or more) so that you don't get bored.
    Drink a lot of liquids- limit your coffee, sodas, alcohol
    It helps as a beginner (and any time) to have one cheat day but DON'T cut out foods. For instance, don't cut out pasta, breads, etc. Just eat it in moderation.
    Add plenty of vegetables and fruits to your diet- if you don't like to eat them, drink them. There are drinks that combine them both (but check your sugar content) or put them into a smoothie.
    Increase your whole wheat foods slowly so your body can get used to it. It will help you to feel fuller longer.

    Hi Johno! Welcome! I have found that lurking the forums and sending friend requests to people who I thought would be great friends were pretty successful. Being pro-active and commenting and supporting other people are the best motivators!
