Myfitnesspal gave me 1800 calories per day, but I changed the settings to 1600.....will this make weight loss harder, do you think?:noway:

i say it greatly depends on your level of physical activity. It seems like 1800 calories is reserved for a fairly active individual (working out 5 or six times a week). I say give it a go for a month and see how it goes. It's really hard to say without knowing what kind of activity you're involved in, how much you expect to lose, and such. But this game is one of trial and error.

It will make the actual weight loss faster. Not by a lot, though.
As for Harder? Depends on your point of view. If you struggle to keep your calorie count under 1800 already, then it's fairly obvious that 1600 will make you struggle more.

If you get used to eating 1600 per day, then you should be fine. It is possible. I do it every day. (Except holidays, and some weekends, when I don't feel like watching every crumb.)

This depends on quite a few factors. How much weight did you choose you wanted to lose when you made your settings? If you chose 1.5 lb/week or more, then don't lower your calories beyond what was suggested. If you chose 1 lb/week or less to lose, then you can drop a few more. Give it a go with 1600 and see how it works. If you're having trouble staying under your calorie goals or hit a wall, then go back to the suggestions from MFP. Once you get it going again you can lower it again or just stick to the suggested numbers.
