365 days on MFP! My Mid-Life Crisis?

Nah! Pre-MidLife Metamorphosis! Yeah, that’s it! I’m not in crisis; there is no catastrophe or urgent dramatic spectacle looming in my psyche. I consider this “pre” because I BELIEVE the middle of my life will not be until after I turn 45 years old which is still 2.5 years away. Why do I believe this? Well, I have simply known since I first contemplated the notion of my longevity, that I would live into my 90’s and that was when I was a freshman in high school! Add to that the fact that I have grandparents on both sides of my family that are still alive and in their 94th years AND further add the monumental (albeit initially indifferent) choice I made over a year ago that has me blossoming from caterpillar to butterfly as we speak and Voila! My Pre-MidLife Metamorphosis!
Have you ever thought about the period in your life when you have felt the most happy, motivated, eager, content and complete? Recently I did and I can very easily say, “This time in my life, right now!” It’s true! I’ve heard or read somewhere that when you are doing what you are made to do you will feel it and I FEEL it! I am comfortable in my skin. I am open to my perceived vulnerabilities, I accept my strengths and weaknesses—I’m not as assertive as I would like to be but I am not a door mat! I WILL not apologize for what makes me who I am, and all my past, present, and future choices are mine-I OWN them. Therefore I am now more self-assured and confident than I have EVER been. I’m happy with me now and I’m happy with where I will strive to be!
I had always skirted around an idea of a healthy lifestyle and 365 days ago I stumbled across MFP and instantly fell in love with it! Things in my life somehow clicked into place and subconsciously I FINALLY committed to my metamorphosis because I finally decided that I AM WORTH the work. The ME of today is literally not weighed down by all the things that made me heavy in the past—I procrastinate less, I make less excuses, I worry less, I closed the door on shame, I’ve learned to let go of resentment as soon as I possibly can, I have reduced both my physical and mental clutter, and I discovered that while I have always been strong on the inside, I can actually make myself strong on the outside too!
MFP is a MAGICAL entity and I am eternally grateful for discovering it when I did because through MFP I have gained so much knowledge about…Well, ME! (In case you’re wondering I am LEO-Hear me ROAR about ME and my ego, tee-hee-hee.) MFP is THE most influential tool I’ve ever used and it has helped to lead me to my purpose, my drive. Howard Thurman once said, “Don’t worry what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive and do that. Because what the world needs are people who have come alive.” I now know what makes me happy and can say that at least for now, I AM ALIVE!
Today, my priorities are properly aligned; I no longer pour my heart and soul into only my work, now I pour my heart and soul into my lifetime intentions and I let those flow through me in EVERYTHING I do! And especially, to those I cherish most around me—My family, My friends, My community! What are my lifetime intentions you ask? Well, simply stated they are as follows: I will be healthy and fit; I aspire to make people smile by loving and being loved; I am determined to live life wholly; and I aim to gratefully relish and share the little things that inspire joy and celebration in people and nature.
I am a perpetual Work In Progress, YAY for MFP! And to all my supporters—Here’s to One Year AND Counting!
My goals on MFP helped align my path and my path set my purpose in motion.
Yep—The FORCE is strong with this one!

LEO here, too! I knew we had a lot in common! Aside from our love of the same breed of dog, your home state, and travel, we're also both Leo! AND your starting measurements and weight were very very similar to mine.
I look forward to continuing your journey with you from across the country :flowerforyou: Congratulations on such incredible progress so far!0
