Disney Wine & Dine Half

I just signed up for the Disney World Wine & Dine Half Marathon! It's being held on my 30th birthday and it'll be my first half, so it seemed like a good way to celebrate. Is anyone else going? Any tips from others who have done Disney races?

I am thinking about it--signed up already for Tower of Terror 10 miler, a month earlier. I just hope I am ready by then!

Well, read you last post and yes, it is sold out. My friend has done this before and told me it usually doesn't sell out right away. Darn. Well, that means I can look for another 1/2 around December.

I did the Wine&Dine last year (my first Orlando Disney Race) and completed my Coast to Coast Medal challenge.

It's a great run, I've only done Tinker Bell twice in California otherwise.

You'll run through 3 parks - we started near ESPN, went through Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and finished at Epcot. It was a night run and so be sure you know how to eat prior to running like that at night. I saw many people puking.

We got about $10 in spending money for Epcot for food/drinks so bring extra money if you wanted anything beyond that. Shuttles go to/from resort hotels until around 4am I believe. It was a GREAT race and I'm really glad I did it.

Let me know if you have specific questions about this or Disney races in general :)
