Want to lose 10lbs before April 10 for surgery....

I am getting breast reduction April 10th (ten days before my birthday no less, no partying for me this year) and I want to try to lose ten pounds by then. I also want to tone. The problem I have been having is that even though I like running, every time I do so, my back begins to hurt (hence why I am getting the surgery...oh irony).
What is a calorie-blasting, super-toning workout I can do? I am 5'2, 200lbs and oddly, am in decent shape (as in, I won't die if I run for ten minutes - my back will just be crippled, NBG). I have a Body by Vi shake bag, haven't really gotten into it, but if anyone has experience with it and says it works, I'll try it for real.
Thanks in advance!

I would suggest the new Beachbody Program called The 21 Day Fix Challenge Pack, there is a workout dvd series (30 min workouts), a bag of Shakeology (delicious!) 7 color coded food containers (eat just about whatever you want, as long as they fit into your containers) and a meal plan. The program is selling like hotcakes!0

Reduction? The horror.0

Sorry but you're not going to tone up and lose 10 lbs in just over a month. What's your goal weight? Your goal weight and current weight dictates how much weight you can safely lose a week. Why not just set the settings on here to 1.5 lbs/week and just stick to the budget? As for exercise, just find something that you like and stick to it. Try walking, biking (stationary or actual), swimming, martial arts, weight lifting, zumba, etc.0

If I am losing 2 pounds a week, that's eight in one month and ten in a month and a half, right? So losing 10 pounds by April 10th is doable...0

Yes, it is doable. Try to eat smaller portions and log them. Get a food scale and be accurate. Set your MFP to -2 a week. Know that this is probably going to give you the dreaded 1200 cals, but you have a short term goal, so give it a shot. At yout height and weight you should be able to drop 10 lbs by mid April.
Also, having had major surgery, expect to have some muscle loss from healing and restricting movements. If you want to tone now,it may help, but you will really need to tone once cleared by your doctor post surgery.
I have used body by vi. I tried the shake replacements and they can have some yummy recipes. Also, i use one scoop in my measured oatmeal for protein. Keeps me very full. I chose it, as it is certified gluten free and I have celiac. Many other protein powders are not.
Try some basic cardio, and pilates or weight lifting to get going.
Good luck.0 -

^this!
Don't waste your time on any special programs or diets, just rely on a calorie deficit to get the results you want. If you can, definitely try to fit in some sort of exercise that will still work for you post-op.0 -
10 pound before April will be hard. We don't always lose in a straight pound:week ratio. Some weeks (even while doing everything right) you may only lose a pound. In fact that could happen your last 2-3 weeks -- even though you are doing everything possible. Don't get discouraged. Good goals are not always achievable right away. If you need to lose a couple after surgery, so be it. It is not the end of the world. Good luck to you.0

For example, I'm losing a lot slower now than I was at the beginning.0
