Weight watchers bread, fibre bars, all bran cereal

Hi everyone! I need some advice and lord knows I will get it on here:)

So I recently started a weight loss program in Jan and I love it. I am allowed 4 startches a day at my weight of 188. For breakfast I have all bran cereal and skim milk, lunch I have 2 weight watchers bread for my sand which and at around 7 pm I have a 100 calorie fibre one bar. My 4th startches is usually sweet potatoes or squash at dinner. There are all sorts of fruits and veggies and I am always over my protein....it's working for me.

The issue is this.....I also started with a personal trainer who is a nutritionist as well. Today I brought in my typical day of eating and she highlighted all of my fun stuff!!!! The ceral, fibre bar, ww bread!!! She said I need to trade these processed foods to more natural stuff.....I get it with the fibre bar, but the all bran cereal???? Wth? What on earth do I eat that is a starch? Is there a low calorie cereal out there that is not processed? Also any ideas for a low calorie snack to subtitite the fibre one bar?

She suggested mixing 4 eggs with steel cut oatmeal and making 4 pancakes out of that. Pan fried in unsalted butter.....sounds good to me. She said they stay well in the fridge and are great to grab as a snack.....any thoughts???

Kashi has some great lower calorie cereals, although I can't exactly speak to the level of processing. Nature's Path may be a good brand to try ... although I haven't personally tried it. Could you try oatmeal instead?

I don't know much about weight watchers bread or its ingredients, but I'm sure you can find a more minimally processed bread. I think it really depends on how much you care about processed ingredients versus whole ingredients ... a lot of people here seem to be indifferent and have experienced a lot of success.

All boxed cereal is going to be heavily processed............

That steel cut oatmeal recipe thing sounds sooo good.

Play around with that. Maybe add 2 eggs and half cup of pumpkin to the steel cut oats and add some cinnamon. That sound divine.

I know this is not a popular opinion but I personally would ditch the fiber you are currently taking in fact ditch any wheat or grain. If you are going to eat cereal then go for an oat choice.

Outside of that get your fiber from fruit and veg.
