Need to Lose 47.5 pounds!!

I need to lose 47.5 pounds to finally get to my goal weight of 180 lbs. I started at 300!!! Anyone have a suggestion of how to do so? I am going to the gym now and lifting (3x a week) as well as cardio (7x a week). Any helpful hints or suggestions about something I can change?

  • First off way to go so far!!! The last bit is harder. I would check in with your gym and see if they have a personal trainer that can help you. Good Luck

    Great job! And I agree, check with a personal trainer! :) I would also frequently change up exercise routines.

    Make sure you're eating enough to support all the working out your doing! When I start working out a lot I eat up to 2500 calories with lots of protein. I'd talk to a personal trainer or a nutritionist to help your needs.

    Thanks to all who responded, this is the best I have ever done with weight loss at all!! I am trying to maintain this myself without the assistance of a personal trainer actually. I have been doing different cardio now 4x a week and a full body weight training 3x a week. So far down 4 pounds since I joined my fitness pal. I have also been a heavy influence on my family and they are now starting to take after me!!!
