Yuummm... I am going to have to start trying that!
If the smoothie is keeping you full until your next meal or snack, I say no toast if not needed!0 -
I routinely do smoothies ~ love them!
My favorite:
1 c. frozen strawberries
1/2 c. frozen blueberries
1 c. almond milk
1/2. unsweetened applesauce (can also use banana)
1 c. spinach
I get an extra serving of green leafy veggies & it can't be tasted (my kids love it too). I rarely add anything else to my meal (such as toast) & I stay full 'til lunchtime.0 -
I tried almond milk and just can't stand the taste..don't know why. I'm using 2% right now..not the best but its better then whole.0

I recently befriended a woman that healed herself from inoperable cancer, naturally. She swears by drinking a green smoothie everyday. (This is only 1 of 100 things she did to heal herself though.) She says to use any fruits/vegetables you'd like, then add at least a handful of spinach to it. Depending on what else is in it, it might not actually turn out the color green (and sometimes it turns brown once blended), but it's supposed to be tasty anyway. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
I used to make fruit smoothies out of frozen mixed fruit and milk for a snack. The little addition I made that was out of the ordinary was about 1/4 - 1/2 a teaspoon of minced (from a jar or you could use fresh) ginger. It gives it a little spice that goes well with the sweetness.0 -
I have smoothies probably half the time for breakfast - I used to have them every day but have started alternating with some other foods. I usually have a banana, almond milk, some sort of berry, and vegan protein powder (I'm allergic to milk). It usually keeps me full.0
