Starting to feel sexy, do you?

I was never really fat, my bmi was 26.9 so I was slightly overweight, but never really big, I was size 12-14 (US 8 – 10). I was referred to as chunky or chubby, it crept up on me a bit just one day I woke up and thought, god you’re so fat, all of my skinny friends didn’t help. For about 2 years I would say to myself, don’t worry eventually you’ll lose weight but it never worked out. Then I somehow without really trying I did a lot of exercise over a few days and lost a pound which just gave me motivation. That was the end of May last year and I’m now 137lb, size 10 (US 6) and even though I still have to lose weight and occasionally think you still need to be smaller but I’m finely happy with how I look, I feel confident, I like to be a a bikini. 11lb more to go but even now I’m happy and feel attractive. This weight loss has opened up my life to new possibilities.
So what about you, how has your confidence changed since your weight loss?

I am currently losing my weight gained from pregnancy (10 months ago). I am 8 pounds away from being back to normal, but I want to lose another 15 pounds on top of that. The more I lose, the more motivated I am to keep going. I am finally feeling more attractive in my clothes, my face is even thinner and I have more confidence, but not enough confidence to wear a bikini just yet.

    HonestIy?

I feel the same amount of sexy as ever. I never had issues with that at size 22 and I don't now at 14/16.

I have the same amount of energy as ever. I felt kinda crappy at my HW of 307, but I felt awesome & super energetic at 270 just like I do now at 194...never felt unhealthy to be perfectly honest. So many people are like "I went from 230 to 190 and I'm like a new person I feel totally different!" I can't relate AT ALL.

I do feel a bit more confident about my body, though. I enjoy that I can now wear a bigger variety of styles. I don't fidget as much (or hardly at all) with my clothes. I used to be really self-conscious about any top clinging to my belly fat and while I still have some of that and probably always will, I'm now okay enough with it that I just don't mind if my top clings a bit or whatever.

I don't have enough confidence to wear a bikini yet, either.

Seriously, though, I feel like I've gotten my mojo back. Having a shaved head and keeping my beard trimmed has helped too. For me, it's the biggest motivator to losing weight. Forget the health benefits, I like wearing slim fitting shirts!

Good for you for learning to love yourself. I'd imagine it has a lot to do with finding the strength and willpower to do what you've done even more than it does with your current size. Achievement and self-worth are tied into a lot more than physical appearance. It's amazing how good we can feel about ourselves when we figure out how strong we really can be. Congratulations!

I just started this 2 weeks ago, but I do feel a lot better abotu myself now and abotu life in general. I think the confidence and weight loss might be also comming from the fact that your eating right and feeling betterside as well. It has for me let me tell you and Im still big as a blimp. But I'm starting to feel a lot more confident in myself . I think your going through the same thing as well. Thats a good thing :)

I kinda, sorta did a bit a few weeks ago. But now that I'm into "normal" BMI, I mostly just get ticked when I look in the mirror. I *would* be sexy if I'd spent all those years getting buff instead of getting fat. Now I'm just a thin guy who still has some fat around the belly and a lot of work to do.
