My calorie goal is 1,690, I burn around 240 cal/day. How many calories should I be eating daily to get good weight loss results?

How did you arrive at your calorie goal of 1690? Was that through MFP and did you sleect an amount of weight you wanted to lose per week? I am assuming the answer is "yes."
If it is "yes" then you should eat 1690 plus some or all of your exercise calories (many people eat a portion of their exercise calories just to compensate for the overestimate that is common for exercise activities).0 -
How old are you? What is your height and weight?0

Based on just your picture I would say the 1600+ is a little too many unless you are doing a lot of working out or cardio. Be honest with Myfitnesspal and enter your info, the program does a really good job of selecting the right calorie intake based on that info.
Good luck!!0 -
Is 1690 what MFP gave you? You don't mention height, weight or at what rate you wish to lose - so unable to help except to say eat the 1690.
If you want to double check the calorie goal you could put your figures in here http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ and see what comes up - but mind you with that method you do not eat back exercise.
And I really don't wish to seem disrespectful but how on earth do you tell by someone's profile picture how many calories they should be consuming - she could be 5' nothing or 6'3" - no way of telling by that pic.0 -

She looks like she's 15 or 16 years old.0 -
I am 16 years old, I'm 5'2 and weigh 220 pounds. I burn 240 calories a day plus some from jogging.0

When I first joined MFP I filled out everything it asked me, chose that I wanted to lose 1lb per week, and this is what it gave me.0

So target 1690 and keep up with your exercise and expect to lose roughly 1 pound per week - which is a nice steady pace. And be sure to track everything accurately. The 1690 is an estimate - it could result in faster or slower loss, so do your best to hit your target calories regularly, stick with it, and compare your actual results with the exepcted results - then tweak a little from there.
Also, I think I am supposed to say that this site is for 18+, try sparkteens.com, yada, yada, yada.0 -

Yep I got that the OP is young - in fact at 16 (rather than the 18 in her profile) she shouldn't be encouraged to eat less as she could quite possibly still be growing.
My advice still stands. You should be eating the 1690 - more if you exercise (say half of what you burn).0 -
Because you're still growing, it would be really good to talk to your doctor about how to diet/calorie count safely. You need to cram in a lot of vitamins, iron, calcium, etc. when you're young -- especially young and female -- so be sure to track those nutrients along with your macros.0
