Some of you already know that I have been doing bad latley. Came close to just saying ef it all. But I need to get back on track. I see my double chin coming back and it's bringing a few friends.
I haven't been to the gym in almost 3 weeks now. So first off,I'm going to try to look at it differently. Instead of thinking I NEED to go to the gym UGH. I'm going to think I'm going to the gym for fun, for something to do, and to spend even more time with my mom(we go together and I'm a mama's girl lol)
Secondly. I changed my calorie goal from only 1200 a day...to 1500. Yes it's going to take me longer to loose weight but I feel less pressure and I hate seeing the numbers go into the red, and when they do I say ef it for the day and go worst. So hopefully this will keep me more motivated because the numbers wont be in the red(as often at least)
Thirdly(is that a word?) I'm not going to be as hard on myself. If I do go over and the calories and if I do eat something bad, I'm not going to beat myself up. Because this is a life style change and to tell myself that I'm never going to eat chicken fingers, or french fries again, well HAH that's setting myself up for failure. I am going to concentrate on my portion sizes. I'll eat what I'm craving, but in SMALL portions.
I'm sure I'm going to fail here and there. But I'm going to try hard. Because I do want to be skinny and IN SHAPE and HEALTHY.

You're doing the right thing by changing your view of gym attendance. I look forward to it, because it gets me out of the house for a while, and away from my kid. She has fun in the daycare there, so I can check on her whenever I want and have peace of mind. It's good for both of us. Whenever she sees me putting my HRM & workout pants on, she lights up. "Gym? Play?" I tell her yes, and she runs around "Hooray! 'Ray!"
Just take each day one at a time. Revel in the little triumphs, and gloat about the big ones.0 -
Good plan. I'm in the same boat. I don't want to feel deprived or set myself up for failure or try for something unsustainable. As a friend said, "It didn't go on in a day. It won't come off in a day." So what if it takes longer? It's the goal that counts.0

I think your outlook is great! Move your body for fun (if the gym isn't fun, perhaps there are other activities that are?); eat what you love (in moderation); if moderation doesn't happen, love yourself anyway and move on; listen to your body and eat a manageable amount of calories so you can be in it for the long haul.
All smart. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Absolutely the right attitude. Good luck, you can do it and there is no prize (sorry) to get there sooner. Make it a lifestyle change and it will be something you can stick with for life!0
