Hi everyone... I am looking for some help/advice/tips to compete in my first bikini contest. I am 5'2" and weigh 170 lbs. I am looking to compete in about 24 weeks. So I am looking for a good workout routine and clean eating meal prep plan that will help me reach this goal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have never competed myself but I have friends that do and I attend comps here and there. I would suggest using a professional for your diet and exercise, anywhere from online only to meeting with someone in person and having check ins. But from what I've seen my friends go through with competition prep you really need the help of a professional.0

Thank you for the replies... I am looking to lose the weight as well as ton and eat properly in order to compete. I can not afford a trainer or a coach so I am trying to do the old fashion way (internet) and get advice, tips and help.0

Hi, I have just started my weight loss challenge I am hoping to lose 30lbs by end of June 2014. So far I'm on Day One and the best tips I have are:
Replace your daily intake of white carbs such as white bread, white pasta, white rice with wholegrain options such as brown bread, brown rice etc
Increase your intake of wholefoods such as fruit and veg, wholegrains etc.
Avoid processed foods
Eating protein keeps you fuller for longer so for every meal your place should be 40% protein, 40% veg and 20% wholegrains
For protein stick with lean meats such as chicken or turkey, limit your intake of red meats
Number 1 Rule: Do not eat after 7pm as this is the time of day when your metabolism is at its slowest0 -

internet is old school?
But on the legit side of it all. I know you said you can't afford it but a coach is the best way to get the results you want.
24 weeks is gonna be tough to lose a good amount of weight to be a stage ready body fat, if what in my head I imagine you as.
Keep doing research and go at it, but doing this on your own is gonna take major dedication.

Check out web page for Julie Lohre. She has a great work out plan for that. And a friend of mine who does Figure Comp and is a trainer says the 5-6 meals a day, eating every 2-3 hours is the best approach. Protein should be a gram per pound you weigh and be at about 50% of daily intake then carbs and and fat make up the rest. Good luck!0

1.) 24 weeks isn't enough to lose the weight and build what you need to be truly competative
Reality.
2.) I would do it anyway if you can.
3.) it's probably going to be more than 50 lbs. that puts you down to 120- at 5 feet it's probably going to be closer to 100-115
My friend competed in her first comp and she was 128 lbs and 5'8"- she took 3rd- had terrible muscle structure- she needed more base.
I don't know what your lifting looks like now- if you have any muscle work at all- I don't know- but it's going to take work- a lot of work- and it's going to suck. If you have been lifting- you'll be better off and just mostly have to focus on the diet portion- but most competitors consider anything 20 lbs over comp weight 'obese' so you have your work cut out for you. The closer you get to your ideal goal- the harder it is to get down there- which is why most people cycle through it.
I would highly encourage you to English a professional- and attend some meets so you can what you can see and glean what's up with what.0
