Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis

Did this happen to anyone else? It did for me when I was 14 and have had surgery twice for it. I'm 31 now and really starting to see the effects of it. It doesn't get as sore and it use to when I workout, but I do my best to not put all my weight on that hip with certain exercises/moves. I'm also limited to my range of motion with it too. I just got some customized orthotics and am still getting use to those but I feel better walking with them. I'm curious to see what I can do to strengthen and increase range of motion in my leg slowly without reinjuring. Any suggestions? Any helpful hints?

hi ... this happened to me when i was 12 and I'm now 34- i only did rehab for a little while after surgery and didn't do it at home as they suggested so i think i am still paying the price a little bit now.. i still can't do certain things such as riding a bike. My legs don't feel comfortable peddling.
i would say .. maybe try seeing a physical therapist if you can. or just walking would be best. I remember one of the excerises to strengthen was lifting my leg and moving it in a circular motion while laying down.
