I'm stuck at 20 lbs! Help

I began my 1500 calorie a day diet a little over a month ago and was losing about a pound a day steadilly. But once I lost 20 lbs I've have been unable to lose anymore, at least for the last 5 days. What the heck?

This happens to everyone at some point or another. It happened to me in late Jan and early Feb where I only lost maybe 1 lb over two weeks and then finally I began picking up weight loss again. It doesn't mean you are not going to lose anymore, but sometimes bodies do this. I would keep on trudging along; maybe do something different in your work out routine if you want. But sometimes we won't lose weight for a week or two for some reason or another ( body retaining water, starting strength training, too much sodium for the week, etc etc ) and then it picks up again. I wouldn't be worried unless you are doing everything you need to and aren't losing weight for a month. A week or two is normal; weight loss will pick up again.

Its natural for your weight loss to stall, especially when losing that fast. Your body needs to adjust to the new weight. Just keep working out and eating well and you'll be fine. Stick with it!

No offense, but are you seriously complaining about not losing A POUND A DAY?!?! Uh,for effective and sustainable weight loss, you shouldn't be losing a lb a day. I'm sure that if you switch to a once-a-week weigh in that you record (even if you still want to weigh every day to see trends), you will find you are still losing weight. Just keep working at it and don't be in such a rush. I'm sure you didn't gain a lb a day, so give it some time to safely come off.

Don't weigh yourself so often and stick with it. Sometimes weightloss can stall. I sat at 24 pounds for a couple of weeks until I saw another pound drop off. You could also switch up your workout a bit and see if that helps! Good luck!
