I just had arthroscopic surgery to remove a bone spur and repair a torn labrum in my right hip. I am feeling pretty down at the moment and need some diet/fitness advice/encouragement... thanks to anyone and everyone who replies.

Make sure you do everything you Physical Therapist tells you to. I've seen enough people who don't and either hurt themselves or undo their surgery. Just keep track of your calories and maybe adjust your setting on MFP until you are back to normal exercise0

I had the exact same thing done two years ago - do your physio exercises! - even after they discharge you! I didn't get enough physio - so I'm sometimes still dealing with pain. After losing weight - I'm now running (which I have never done in my whole life!) and am almost pain free.0

I'm actually getting ready to have my hip scoped (for a torn labrum) on Tuesday (11 March). Hope your recovery has improved over the recent weeks, and would love to pick your brain on "lessons learned" (if you're amenable)?
Thanks!0
