Any pole dancers out there? I'm about to buy my first pole and would like some advise with regards to materials and thickness.
I'm gonna be getting the xpole xpert I've turned away from chrome because I've heard it is super slippy, especially when cold (my house is always freezing) and I'm leaning more towards titanium gold rather than brass. I don't want it to be so sticky that I struggle to spin and it feels like it's gonna rip my skin.
My overall research has said 45mm in Titanium Gold...
Just wondering what you use at home or at your studio and what your preferences are?

I'm a pole dancer. But don't have a pole at home  so can't offer any insight. But good luck with whatever you've chosen!! :-)0

I had the titanium xpole 45mm, I have really slippery hands and found the chrome one too hard to get a grip if it was too cold or even too warm (I had the chrome one first) one thing I will say is buy off the actual site. I paid £215 for my pole off a girl and when I was moving home I put it in my mums attic for a few months. The gold off the pole completely came away and I had to throw it away. So now I don't have a pole at home
Also if u can use the gloves for extra grip on the big moves. Im loving my gloves at the minute. All the best0 -
I have a pair of Mighty Grip pole gloves, but my studio doesn't allow anyone to wear them. The instructors say they worry it would become a crutch and actually limit your strength because you won't have to depend on your own grip strength if the gloves are doing the work for you. Hopefully one of these days I'll be able to have a pole room in my own home, not sure if I'd use any grip aids then either though. :ohwell:0

I just want to say that I completely support this fitness movement. The upper body strength, grace, and dexterity are very impressive.0

I have lifted weights for over a year and I could not do this at all. Hats off to those that do!0 -
That's Jenyne Butterfly doing the Air Walk from an iguana mount (though your .gif is playing in reverse)
She's like one of the top competitive pole fitness dancers, you'd have to practice for hours a day for years on end to have skills like hers.

Hello!
I got a 45mm Chrome X-Pert and love it. I agree with it being more slippery than the other types, but once you get going it heats up and then sticking isn't a problem. I got it because we use 42mm brass poles in my studio and I'm like velcro up there sometimes, Good luck! Feel free to add me if anyone is looking for a pole fitness friend0
