Ok so I have discovered an amazing way to half yes HALF the calories in your meals... are you ready?
I did this with rice today but I am sure it is applicable to most foods
Whilst cooking the rice (or whatever) start playing candy crush saga and totally forget you have food cooking. Burn half the food to the bottom of the pan and be too darn lazy to start again.. Ta Da!
Yeah, I am an idiot! :grumble:

I wish I could 'like' this  my trick is going into the other room where I keep my computer and playing around on FB or MFP and then forgetting the broiler oopsie!0 -
Lol this is the reason I hate cooking! I always forget until I smell the burning0

i love that my fire alarm doubles as a timer, saves counterspace.0
-
in addition to that... not to get so frustrated with the whole process and throw the pot out because it is just too darn hard to clean the burnt food from the bottom of it without a blow torch... been there too.. love these fun little life lessons.. lol0

Drat, you stole my secret diet trick! It's okay, I've still got the old standby of "engage in a cleaning standoff with your housemates until there's no clean cookware in the entire house and just eat raw fruit and veg rather than give in and wash their dirty dishes". It'll be a best-seller!0

Ahahaha this made me laugh
I cook my rice using a rice cooker, so it won't work for me0 -
Another handy tip, if you burn the pot of quinoa, your house will smell so bad you won't want to eat for several days! Handy handy.0
-
Or re-heat fish or shrimp & it'll stink so bad you will not want to eat!!!0
-
That happened with my quesadillas yesterday. It didn't work tho because I just scraped the insides onto a new tortilla ans stopped housecleaning :P
Added a step that makes the trick not work!0 -
My trick is; my husband eats food right off my plate. :explode:0

My partner does the dishes, which I guess isn't a bad thing. But he eats all the fruit and veg before I can get to it!!! Unless it's frozen.0 -

Wow, this is such a great idea! I usually just go for the put the food in the oven or the pot on the stove, and forget to turn on the heat. It COMPLETELY eliminates the calories.0
-
Or cut it in half.
And, since it's only half as many calories, you can eat twice as much!0 -
oohhh... Done that. It was a sad day....
I think I almost set the house on fire too. Can I cut my bills in half too?! Maybe even reduce to zero!0 -

Quickly ... write a book about this secret technique, get all the fashion magazines to headline it, pitch on it Oprah, and make bazillions, before someone else does.0 -
So DH was just helping me with my diet when he burned my breakfast this morning? What a sweetheart0
