This works for me. On the days I don't do it, I cave.... I have a Sara Lee Delux Rasin Bagle. Only half of one. With light cream cheese. That's breakfast. On the days I eat sugary things I am hungry and have the worse cravings for more sugary things! My morning "pastry" helps.

As long as you're eating whole grains you can still eat carbs.

For peanut butter I shopped around reading lables. The "natural" ones have only peanuts in them. I found Target brand, and my grocery store brand are good enough for my daughter, and taste good to me. Read about the rest of them, they are stuffed with sugar and hydrogenated oils.

Those are really tough things for me too. Of course every now and again somebody brings in a Hugh Jass box of donuts to work. Most days I can resist by telling myself that might be what I want right now*.... but is it worth waiting longer to reach my ultimate goals? Your pics look like weight loss isn't a concern? Instead maybe you should be careful to preserve what you have so later on you're not having fight the battle to take it off.

I'm not sure I have any other constructive suggestions besides loving yourself and realizing that it isn't good for you to have those things every day. Once in a while is fine, just exercise moderation. :)

There are so many good and really tasty foods that are healthy for you. Don't be afraid to experiment with a variety of foods as well as seasonings & spices.

Good luck and feel free to friend me if you like. Maybe you might pick up a few items off my food diary once in a while. Just go easy on me when I give in to something I shouldn't... :)

i have a great recipe for black bean brownies...i know...sounds NASTY right? wrong! they taste exactly like brownies, only a little bit more like cake than a fudge consistencly...You up your protein by a lot, you lower fat (bc your not using oil or butter) and you up your fiber so you are full! All you need is a box of brownie mix and a can of black beans...you can also look the recipe up online!!!!

For peanut butter, I use the "Better'n Peanut Butter," as it has HALF the calories.

Thomas makes bagel thins which only have 110 calories each. We discovered these a few weeks ago, and they're great.

As for the peanut butter, we found a brand called Better'n peanut butter. 2Tbsp is only 100 calories (vs. the 200 calories in most 2Tbsp servings of peanut butter).

Not sure if these brands are available near you, but if they are, I really recommend them. :)

I have cravings too! But I will only let myself have one small treat a day. If you love peanut butter, portion it! I love having a tbsp of pb in the mornings on my piece of toast! Or try eating an apple and dipping it in a tbsp or two of peanut butter. Living a healthy lifestyle can't be about total restriction from the foods you love. Moderation and portioning is soooo important!!

A little thing I am trying to do everyday, all day. Being mindful of what I eat. When I go to the fridge I remind myself everything I put into my mouth is a decision. Everything I snack on is a mindful decision. And remember tomorrow is a new day. You always are able to start fresh. If you have a bad day and eat a whole jar of pb thats ok! You can be more mindful tomorrow. Today's success is not affected by yesterdays failures/struggles.

    Hope this helps!!!
